In the search for balance between classical aesthetics and the way of conceiving shapes in a contemporary way, the art of Giulio Rigoni is charged with unreal images, often enchanted, suspended in atmospheres which recall faraway mythical times, leaving to the viewer the task of identifying its sense according to their own personal interpretation. His art thus demands from the viewer the effort to protect the poetic experience of mystery, by looking for the most appropriate sentimental chords within themselves.
From a technical point of view the attention is focused on an ancient language: a meticulous oil painting on wood with large gold decorations. In time, his search has broadened to the use of different materials, such as paper, brass and cloth, with the possibility of experimenting always new impressions, nonetheless maintaining constant the style and the intentions of his art creations.
