Francesco Zurlini lives and works in Bologna, he began his artistic career at a very young age thanks to his encounters with Afro Basaldella and some of the greatest masters of abstractionism. Encounters that left their mark on his painting, allowing him to open his eyes to that extreme degeneration of abstractionism that Gillo Dorfles defined as informal. The uniqueness of his artistic career lies precisely in the long hiatus between emotional and intuitive learning and active frequentation of that universe, with the conscious acquisition that will allow him to arrive at the final language, the work we can see today.
