Famous for his abstract, emotive and material paintings, Luca Brandi works predominantly on large formats and monochromes. His art celebrates colour, the ability to be beautiful and silent. Most of his works are dominated by deep blacks, shades of brown and sepia, although sometimes blocks of other colours appear. Materials are an important element in Luca’s work, who likes to emphasise the interplay of acrylics or the visceral physicality of the canvas. His first exhibitions date back to when he was just over 20 years old, and today he can boast of being in numerous collections in many countries around the world.
