and yet the first thought in front of Leandro Faina's works is cheerfulness. Cheerfulness for the fluidity that governs the blending and mingling of colours, for the harmony and mastery of his representations, for the brilliance with which he resolves a gaze. One is enchanted by the "leporello" city, a succession of planes that self-elide in the verse, break down to form a sequence, becoming a tale of fantastic places where small figures and equally small dogs run through the night as if swimming through it, dipping and re-emerging like faces under blankets of dreams. Bottles like basilicas, cans like ships, little streamers like stars. A world read with tenderness, where to every fright there is an answer: don't worry. Can't you see? They are only clouds. Close
