That is why they will never look the same to us. We can look at them again and again and we will always see something different, because they change with us. Like so many portraits of Dorian Gray, they mirror us. Their purpose, however, is not to grow old in our place, but to remind us how behind the faces we see - our own and those of others - there are entire libraries of stories. Close
