Attention and awareness are two foundations on which Stefano Balma’s work is based, for whom photography is a form of meditation. His subjects are natural landscapes, especially woods and forests, which have a ‘tuning fork effect’ on him, as if they could reconnect him with the flow of life. Attracted by ambiguity, i.e. figures reminiscent of strange creatures and stimulating the imagination, Stefano carefully plans his travels to seek out places that can inspire him. He has received awards in various international photography competitions, such as second place in his category at APA, FAPA, OEL.
